Launching a verbal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday accused the leader if destroying India’s image and scaring away investors.
“The reputation and image that India had in the world was that it is a country of brotherhood, love and unity, while Pakistan was known for hatred and divisiveness. This image of India has been damaged by Narendra Modi. Today, India is considered as rape capital of the world,” Rahul Gandhi said as he addressed ‘Yuva Aakrosh’ rally in Jaipur.
He also targeted the BJP government over slowing economy. “In UPA’s time, the growth rate was 9 per cent. Modi government has slowed the growth rate by changing the calculation system. As per that system, the growth rate is 5 per cent. If it is calculated by the system prevailing during UPA, it is 2.5 per cent. It is shameful,” Rahul Gandhi said.
Rahul Gandhi said one crore people lost jobs in 2019 when the Prime Minister promised to create two crore opportunities. “PM Modi had promised to create two crore jobs but one crore people lost theirs last year,” the Gandhi scion said.
Hitting back at Gandhi, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has offered Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to come to the Congress. Reacting to the question asked by Rahul Gandhi on the rising unemployment in the country, Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “If Rahul Gandhi is unemployed then we will give him work in BJP.”
UP Deputy CM further said that those who are raising questions about the Ganga Yatra are themselves in the circle of questions. He said that the public will respond to those who stand in support of Shaheen Bagh.
He also accused SP, BSP and Congress of instigating people for polarization of Muslim votes. Deputy CM said that the Popular Front of India is a changed form of SIMI. He said that after the ban on SIMI, this organization is conducting anti-national activities in the name of Popular Front of India.
