As lockdown restrictions across the country are eased, it seems political activities are also returning to its new normal.

The Bharatiya Janta Party on Tuesday appointed Adesh Kumar Gupta as it’s new president of the party’s Delhi unit.

Gupta, the former mayor of the northern Delhi Municipal corporation from Delhi’s west Patel Nagar will take over from the Bhojpuri actor turned politician Manoj Tiwari.

According to BJP’s official statement, party president JP Nadda has appointed Adesh Kumar Gupta as Delhi BJP chief and the appointment will come to effect immediately.

Tiwari had lost to the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi assembly polls and his term was also over, after which he offered to quit.

The BJP also named tribal leader and former Union minister Vishnu Deo Sai as its Chhattisgarh state president.
