For me, a better democracy is a democracy where women do not only have the right to vote and to elect but to be elected, once said famous politician Michelle Bachelet. History has witnessed the brilliance of women in politics, time and again.

India too has seen the rise and rule of various females who have marked a place in the history with their strong efforts, bold moves and impactful decisions. These ladies did not shy away from breaking the stereotypes, coming out of their comfort zones, and fight it out in a stream that is relatively ruled by men.
