With Ambadas Danve wining in the Maharashtra Legislative Council biennial election from Aurangabad-Jalna twin constituency, it is a gain for Shiv Sena-BJP combination. Giving a tough competition to his opposing lead, Congress representative Baburao Kulkarni, Danve won the by poll with a difference of 418 votes.
As per the data sourced from election authorities, Danve had 524 votes, whereas Kulkarni on the other hand had 106 votes in his bag.
Out of the total 657 public representatives from different local self-governing bodies, including co-opted members and panchayat samitis across the Aurangabad and Jalna district, BJP-SENA had a support of 330 public representatives before the bypoll. The Congress-NCP has a support of 250 representatives and Asaduddin Owaisi led AIMIM and other independent contesting parties constituted 77 representatives out of the total. There were 321 male voters and 326 female voters who casted their votes in elections held on August 19, 2019.
