Voting for the Delhi Assembly election ended yesterday in one phase, and as per various exit polls, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is set to form the government in the national capital once again.
Maximum trends showed a clean sweep for Kejriwal, as BJP struggled to make a comeback. Congress has no traces as it did not even open its account.
Going by the trends, BJP is obviously not very happy. Following the exit polls, Home Minister Amit Shah called for a meeting with BJP leaders.
Similarly, other BJP leaders too did not leave a chance o take a dig at Kejriwal, before or even during the poll day.
Union Minister Smriti Irani took on to Delhi CM, on twitter, just few minutes before the voting began in Delhi.
Nine minutes before the voting began, Arvind Kejriwal in a tweet asked Delhi’s women voters to come out in large numbers and vote. He added, “Do consult with men whom it would be better to vote for.”
“Please go out and vote today. I specially appeal to the women that just as you uphold responsibilities of your house, you also have to shoulder responsibilities of the country and Delhi. The women must go out and vote and please take the men in your house along with you to vote. Please do discuss with men whom it would be better to vote for,” read his full tweet.

Responding to this tweet, Smriti Irani in a tweet wrote: Don’t you consider women capable enough to decide on their own whom they should vote for?”

To this, Kejriwal, was quick to revert. “This time, it is women who have decide their family’s vote in Delhi,” he said in a tweet.
