After sweeping the Delhi Assembly Elections 2020 by grabbing 62 seats out of 70 constituencies, Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is et to form the government in the national capital yet again.

According to reports, Kejriwal will take oath as the Delhi CM for the third time on February 16.

Like 2015, this time, too, the venue for the oath-taking ceremony could be Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief also met the party MLAs today. The legislators will then elect him as the leader of the legislative party, following which he will stake claim to form government.

While cabinet portfolios have not been announcement, there are reports that Raghav Chadha can get the Finance department and Atishi will be made the Education Minister.

After the landslide victory, Kejriwal, while addressing a huge crowd at the AAP office on Tuesday, had said the victory signalled the victory of a “new kind of politics”. “People of Delhi have given a message that they will vote for schools, mohalla clinics, 24-hour electricity and free water. This is a great message for the country,” he said. Meanwhile, in a shocking incident, a man opened fire at the AAP MLA-elect Naresh Yadav’s convoy in the city’s Kishangarh area. The incident occurred hours after the party swept the Delhi elections. An AAP volunteer, identified as Ashok Mann, was killed in the incident.

The Delhi Police detained a 38-year-old man, in context with the incident. The person detained had a personal enmity with Mann and the firing had nothing do with politics, the police added. While Mann died, another volunteer, identified as Harinder, was injured.
