The Narendra Modi government at the Centre has released the guidelines for the fourth phase of lockdown guidelines in India. The fourth phase of the lockdown will commence from Monday.

Announcing considerable relaxation, the government has allowed the inter-state movement of vehicles, buses have been allowed with states being given the final power to decide on relaxations in Red, Orange and Green zones.

The new guidelines are based on suggestions from states that PM Narendra Modi had sought during his fifth discussion with chief ministers on the pandemic on May 11.

Sports complexes and stadiums will be allowed to open without spectators.

Schools, colleges, and other educational/training institutions won’t reopen yet.

Hotels, restaurants, and hospitality services to remain shut but restaurants are allowed to operate kitchens for delivery.

Cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, swimming pools etc to remain shut.

Places of religious worship and other large congregation to be shut.

Metro rail services will not resume.

With a view to ensuring safety in offices and workplaces, employers on best effort basis should ensure that Arogya Setu is installed by all employees having compatible mobile phones.

The movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 7 pm to 7 am, except for essential activities.
