In a major development, the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and the late actor’s manager Samuel Miranda on Friday. The two will undergo a drug test now.

The NCB will be asking for the custody of the two for at least 4-5 days. They will reportedly be produced in the court later.

Both Showik and Samuel have been named as accused by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the FIRs registered by them in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The sections pressed against them are 20(b) that deals with production, manufacture, possession, selling, purchase and transport of cannabis, 28 (punishment for attempt to commit offences), 29 (punishment for abetment and criminal conspiracy) and 27(a) that defines punishment for financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is looking into the allegations of drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, also arrested two alleged drug peddlers operating in Mumbai in this case and detained one person. The two arrested are Zaid Vilatra (21) and Abdel Basit Parihar (23) while Kaizan Ibrahim is being questioned since Thursday.

Meanwhile, Bunty Sajdeh, CEO of Cornerstone, is being questioned by the CBI for the second time in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Cornerstone is a talent management company where Sushant Singh Rajput had an account. Bunty Sajdeh will be asked about the details of Sushant Singh Rajput’s earnings through the projects offered to him by Cornerstone.

Cornerstone is the same firm where Disha Salian was also working. She handled Sushant Singh Rajput’s account for some time and contacted him in May. The CBI is trying to find out if there is any link between Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian’s deaths. Bunty Sajdeh will also be questioned regarding Disha Salian.
