Three Pakistan cricket players Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf and Haider Ali have tested positive for Covid-19. The team was all set for their departure to England on 28 June.

The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday has confirmed the same and added that the players had shown no symptoms until they were tested in Rawalpindi on Sunday ahead of the Pakistan men’s national cricket team’s tour to England. The players have been advised to self-isolate themselves with immediate effect.

PCB also stated that all the other players excluding Shoaib Malik, coach Waqar Younis and Cliffe Deacon got tested at their respective centres, and their results are to arrive on Tuesday.

Pakistan cricket team is due to travel to England on June 28 for a three-match T20 series.

The T-20 series is slated to begin from August 29 while the Test series starts from July 30. On reaching Manchester, the Pakistani players will travel to Derbyshire for a 14-day quarantine period.
