Facebook said on Wednesday that it would stop running political or social issue commercials after the US election gets completed on November 3 to decrease the chance of disarray or misuse. Facebook has learned from some inputs that the activity by right-wing body Proud boys which is provided tacit support by Trump could cause chaos and disorder when the US populace would be looking forward to the results. Hence it has taken the decision to stop ads and early declaration of victory when the election ends.

The prominent social media organization said that any post reporting or checking the champion early would be marked using dependable data from media sources and political authorities. In a press briefing, Facebook officials said that if a candidate or party announces a premature victory before declaration by major media outlets, they would add more specific information to the notifications, which would inform the public that the counting is still going on.

Guy Rosen, VP of integrity at Facebook asserted that since this election is shaping up to be a very unique one, precautions are being taken to prevent the spread of false rumors.

Rules on ads and posts about votes and legislative issues are being changed and adapted by Facebook and Instagram as they provide information support for the US election.

The California HQ-ed web-based social media giant is gearing up to prevent the spread of deceptive news and information as it did during the 2016 official political decision.

Developer Policy Enforcer at Facebook, Monica Bickert stated that the policies against voter intimidation had been initiated by Facebook four years ago and that they have been continually expanded to account for new trends and tactics to intimidate or block votes. Recently implemented rules of Facebook included tightening and filtering of information.

Officials in Facebook also stated that the platform would eliminate early unverified proclamations of victory and the political posts with the use of military language. As a step of caution, Facebook has recently prohibited direct posts to ask individuals to go to surveying places with weapons or to keep individuals from casting a ballot.
