Investigators in Norway found out the identity of the boy, whose body washed up the shore of the country’s coast last year. Norway police have said that the body of a baby found on the country’s coast is that of a missing 15 month old who died in the English Channel last year.

The child’s name was Artin. He died along with four family members when the boat that they were travelling in sank in the English Channel in October 2020. It was a Kurdish-Iranian family who were trying to reach UK from France. The other members of the family have been waiting frantically for Artin. They are now in tremendous grief.

There was no case of missing baby in Norway, and the blue overall that the baby was wearing was also not a Norwegian brand. That raised suspicion.

On October 27, the boat carrying the family sank in the Channel. The family were from Sardasht, a city in Western Iran, near to the border with Iraq.

An investigation was opened in Dunkirk into the sinking incident by the French public prosecutor.
