Comedian Bharti Singh’s husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, was arrested Sunday morning after being questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for 15 hours.

The 33-year-old was held hours after his wife’s arrest on Saturday.

The agency said that 86.5 grammes of cannabis was recovered from Singh’s house when NCB sleuths conducted raid there. “Both Bharti and her husband Harsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of Ganja. While Bharti Singh has been arrested, the examination of Harsh Limbachiya is underway,” NCB officials said.

Sources said that seizure of 86 grams of ganja is a small quantity and does not fall under the commercial quantity and Bharti may soon procure bail.

The raids by the NCB come amid an expanding probe into alleged drug use by members of the film and entertainment industry.

The probe began with inquiries into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June.

In the past few months, top actors like Rakul Preet, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, and Arun Rampal have been questioned by the NCB while probing the drug menace in Bollywood.

Before that, the NCB had summoned film producer Firoz Nadiadwala. A day earlier his wife, Shabana Saeed, was arrested after investigators allegedly found 10 grams of marijuana at their Juhu home during a raid. Saeed has since been released on bail.
