While only few days are left for Haryana to go for polls by the end of this month, the war of words between the parties have heated up.

Targeting the BJP, Haryana Congress chief Kumari Seljahas said that warning bell has rung for the BJP government in the state and its slogan of ‘Ab kibaar, 75 paar’ will fall flat in the ensuing elections.

“The warning bell has rung for the government. The BJP has a slogan of ‘Abkibaar, 75 paar’ (75+ seats in the legislative assembly). They only have slogans and all these have proven empty. From demonetisation to GST, all their decisions have proven to be wrong. The GDP is not growing at a fast pace,” Seljasaid.

Further targeting the BJP government, Selja said that her party was excited for the upcoming polls. “The common people of Haryana and the Congress workers are excited about the elections. For the past five years, BJP has just engaged in politics of lies and deceit and people are now seeking the report of five years from the incumbent government,” she added.

The Congress leader claimed that all sections of society in Haryana, be it employees, farmers, youth, women or Dalits, are upset with the government as it has done nothing for them.

The party state chief added that the Congress party did not belong to any individual but was like a family that functioned on the basis of an ideology.Selja’s remarks came a day after her predecessor Ashok Tanwar, alleging irregularities in ticket distribution for Haryana Assembly polls, resigned from all election committees of the Congress. He had also alleged that the party had become “Hooda Congress” in Haryana.

Speaking on the matter, Selja said, “I don’t think these kinds of charges have any substance. There is a process adopted for selection of candidates and that has been followed properly.”
