According to reports, it has been ascertained that 5 BJP candidates won the Maharashtra MLC elections. Not only 5 candidates of BJP but 2 each of NCP and 1 candidate of Congress have also won. MVA pulled out 5 out of 6 seats while all BJP candidates won. The victory was registered by Congress’s brother Jagtap even though Chandrakant Handore was seen losing.

According to the information, it is being told that the process of voting was completed through a secret ballot in the Legislative Council elections, due to which the possibility of cross-voting is also seen increasing.

In the Rajya Sabha elections, a member has to show his ballot paper to the authorized representative of his party. But the opposite happens in the Legislative Council election, in which the ballot paper is kept secret in the election. Due to this cross-voting becomes necessary.

It has also been received from sources that the NCP leaders Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh, who was jailed for casting vote in the Legislative Council elections were refused by the Supreme Court, they have no vote in this election.
