Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is all set to have another term in power, as the exit poll results for Maharashtra predict a comfortable majority for the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra.

In the 288 seats of Maharashtra, the primary contest is between the ‘Mahayuti’ or grand alliance led by the BJP, and the ‘maha-aghadi’ (front) led by the Congress and NCP. Led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is fighting from Nagpur South-West seat, the BJP is seeking a second straight term in the state.

If Maharashtra exit poll results hold true on October 24, when the Election Commission will declare assembly election results, the BJP and Shiv Sena will create history in Maharashtra’s politics. It will be the first time that the BJP-Shiv Sena will return to power in consecutive terms and the third time when they will be in power.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is headed for a landslide victory in Haryana assembly too.

The BJP led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has set an ambitious target of winning 75 seats out of 90.

On Monday, more than 12 lakh people in Haryana exercised their right to vote, the result of which will decide the fate of 54 candidates contesting from Gurgaon, Sohna, Badshahpur and Pataudi, the four constituencies in Haryana.

For a smooth and hassle free voting, as many as 1,407 officials were deployed in these booths. Apart from that, additional staff of 619 officials were also on stand by to ensure smooth proceedings during Haryana Assembly elections 2019.
