The entire world went in for a shock when the sad news of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise broke out, yesterday afternoon. He was 34.

The actor, who has starred in superhot films like Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni, PK, Chhichhore and many more, was found hanging in his Bandra apartment. The entire industry and fans were left grieving wondering what led the actor take his own life.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s body was taken to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital where the post-mortem was performed that took place from 10:30 pm to around 11:30 pm on Sunday. He has also tested negative for COVID-19.

It has come to light that the last thing Sushant consumed before ending his life was a glass of juice on Sunday morning, at around 10. Then, he locked himself up in his bedroom. He did not respond despite repeated knocks on the door by his domestic help, who then called neighbours.

Rajput’s preliminary postmortem report reveals that the actor died due to hanging. Some samples have also been sent to Kalina Forensic lab for further testing.

Sushant was suffering from depression from the last six months and also undergoing treatment in Hinduja Hospital.

“Police will be contacting Rajput’s doctor and record his statement to know what type of medicines he was taking and what problem he was facing.” Reports say.
Meanwhile, the report further stated that Sushant’s maternal uncle has alleged that the actor was murdered, appealing for a CBI probe.

The last rites will be performed on Monday now that his father and other family members have arrived in Mumbai from Patna.
