Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena has backed the government over the Tukde Tukde gang.
A recent article in Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ says, Government is angry with JNU’s Tukde Tukde gang but instead of making a counter declaration one should hold a tight slap against those who are talking and making slogans for the destruction of our country, they deserve a tight slap.
The tukde-tukde gang has come to fore recently when there have been nation-wide protests against the CAA. The students who have been protesting against it have been tagged as the ‘tukde tukde gang’ or ‘anti-nationals’.
Most recently, Deepika Padukone was accused of supporting the ‘tukde tukde gang’, by various political leaders who called to boycott her films, as the actress stood with the JNU students to show solidarity with them, over attacks on them.
Meanwhile, the editorial also welcomed the newly appointed Army chief Manoj Mukund Naravane remarks on PoK where he had mentioned that it will take steps to wrest Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) from Islamabad’s control if Parliament wanted and if the Indian government gave such an order.
It is to be noted, Shiv Sena’s commnts come after Maharashtra minister and Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray along with Sharad Pawar’s grandson Rohit Pawar attended a student event opposing CAA and NRC on January 5.
BJP Mumbai chief Ashish Shelar slammed the association of ‘Sena with Tukde-Tukde gang members’ saying Aaditya Thackeray is associating with bomb-accused supporters and now anti-govt critics.
